Taggy Tag Tagster!!

I have a lot of Tags to catch up on. Jenny Tagged me a long time ago with this one, then Sarah did the same one. Sorry I am just now getting around to doing it!

10 Years Ago:
I actually have a really bad memory. I was 16 and I drove way too fast and always fought with my brother over who got to take the car. (He always won) I was going to Dear old Delta High! I think I was actually kind of shy in High School, but somehow got voted "class clown". I think there was some kind of mistake there. My hair was a big curly mess that would have been perfect if it had been the 80's!

5 Things on my To Do List today:
--Plan my 'Sharing Time' lesson for this week
--Go to Dr. App and see how little Felix is growing. (find out if he is as big as he feels!)
--Laundry!!! always laundry!!!
--Make dinner (we will see how that goes)
--See who gets the boot on American Idol! (I think it is Brooke)

Snacks I enjoy: cold cereal, chocolate, citrus fruit, milk, bread (healthy, I know)

Bad Habits:
-- saying things before I think about them
-- eating treats
-- peeking during prayers.
-- not doing my hair Oh! and picking my nose :)

5 Places I've Lived: (or 7)
-- Utah (Payson, Leamington, Provo, Orem, Mapleton)
-- Due West, SC
-- Nauvoo, IL
-- Mississippi
-- Indianapolis, IN
-- Richmond, CA
-- St. Louis, MO

Jobs I've Had:
-- House Cleaner
-- Clerk at the Leamington Country Store (back when Leamington had a store)
-- Sandwich Artist at Subway
-- Medical Records gal
-- Hostess at Frontier Pies (I got fired! Isn't that great?)
-- Counselor at Bording School
-- Caretaker for people with disabilities
-- Baby bracelet maker :)
-- Mom!

5 Things you Don't know about me:
-- I'm not all that paticular about a lot of things. I don't care how the dishes get loaded, as long as they get clean. I don't care how clothes are folded, I just fold them....stuff like that. I puposely try not to care about things like that! Matt and I switch up which side of the bed we sleep on all of the time. Most things don't have to be a certain way for me!
-- I watch 'World's Most Amazing Video's' on Spike TV almost every day while I eat lunch. I just can't get enough of those car accident/cop chases caught on film.
-- Sometimes I pretend like I have a little pioneer friend that I need to explain all sorts of modern technology to. (Maybe I shouldn't admit that one)
-- I really have no sense of style. (Thats probably something you do know about me. It's not hard to tell.)
-- I had a History class and a really basic science/physics class in college that I loved so much, I saved all my notes and go over them sometimes! Oh! and Anatomy. I used to drive Matt crazy because I would refer to muscles, bones by their anatomic names. (I don't really remember them that well, I better review my notes!)
--I've always wanted to drive a Scout!!!

People I Admire:
-- Matthew Levi
-- My Parents!
-- Dwight Shrute

3 Favorite Movies:
-- Enchanted
-- Girly movies (like Jane Austin flicks, etc) I'm kind of sappy!
-- Old Movies (you know, movies made before they all became trashy)

3 Favorite Books: (or 5)
-- Jesus the Christ
-- Les Miserables (I have to confess, I haven't actually finished the whole thing, but I know the story and I love it!)
-- The Hiding Place
-- Books that teach me new things. Self improvement, motivating stuff!
-- C.S. Lewis books
(I can't really just put three things for movies or books.)

Yard Work!!

We finally bought a lawn mower! I'm sure our neighbors were excited, since our grass was getting so long! We spent a good part of Friday pulling weeds from our flower beds, and Saturday doing the lawn. My sister and her kids came to help! Thanks Benjamin! We loved having the company!
I happen to be lucky enough to be married to a former BYU grounds crew worker! He knows all sorts of lawn mowing, flower planting tricks! I am for sure going to put him to work!!!

Isn't it pretty? Matt thought I was silly for taking a picture of it, but it was so shiney! I couldn't help it!

Jump N Jacks

We went to Jump N Jacks with some friends. It was a lot of fun! I usually had to drag Savannah up to the slides, but she ended up loving it once we did it!

Driving the car. Ever since the carnival, she has been a little obsessed with driving cars. She spent a good majority of our time waiting for this car to open up. When there were other kids in it, she would just wait there saying: "nana turn, nana turn" (nana is what she calls herself).

Jumping with Jersie. She loved this little room where you could just bounce around!

Not sure what is going on here. She really liked the floor I guess!

The steps to climb up were a lot more steep than they look. She couldn't climb them by herself. You should have seen me trying to hang on and climb up while holding her. I'm sure we looked pretty funny.

We had been going down the slide together, but this time I made her go by herself. She wasn't crazy about the idea, but once she did it she had a lot of fun!

Check out the Rock Stars!!!

Matt's brother and his wife bought this Rock Band game for their X-box and had us over for FHE one night to play with it. You have to check us out. She put a video on their blog, so go to Mike and Tiffany's blog on our link list. Matt is the handsome devil with all the rhythm on the drums. Mike is the one with the amazing vocals, and the prego guitar chick would be yours truly! It is a really short clip, but I think it is so funny!!! Maybe you had to be there. I'm just glad they didn't take any video when I was singing.

Carnival Rides!

We went to eat at Red Robin the other day with some friends (Jake, Sarah and Hannah)and there were carnival rides in the mall parking lot. We decided to let the kids ride a few of them and they had so much fun! I only had my cell phone for pictures that night and didn't get any good ones. (I was sad because they were so cute!) We decided to take her back on Saturday and Ruby came along this time. They had a great time!

I thought this was so cute! We just looked back and they were holding hands!

She rode this roller-coaster with Matt. It went way faster than we thought it would. I was worried she would be scared, but she loved it!

As you can see by her face, driving the bus was a big HIT!!!

Riding the Horsey!

Tulip Festival!

We have been trying to get out a little more often, especially since it has finally been warming up. Last week some of us met at Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival. The tulips were actually pretty sparse for a tulip festival. They said only 20% were in bloom, but I would say more like 5%. It was still really pretty though. It was fun to just walk around the gardens and waterfalls!

Smelling the flowers!

All the kids loved running around on the grassy hills!

Savannah has an obsession with doing buckles now! It doesn't matter where we are or what else is going on, if there are buckles to be done she would rather play with them.

Light!

Savannah's bedroom light is controlled by a remote hanging on the wall. The other day I let her hold it and she thought it was so cool that she could push buttons and make the light or fan turn on. It entertains her for a long time. Well last night around 2am she woke up and was yelling "light! light!" over and over. I went in her room to check on her where she then proceeded to throw a flat out tantrum because she wanted to play with the light switch. AT TWO IN THE MORNING! Are you kidding me?

Let the Summer Begin!

Platinum's summer has officially started. Most offices wont start for a week or two, but a few have started now. I have to admit, as excited as I am to actually get to spend a summer at home, a part of me is sad to not be moving to some new city. I really did love parts of being able to just up and move to a new place for a while. We have made so many good friends from our summers away. It will be nice to have a Utah summer though. We have loved how warm it has been lately!

Savannah has been doing so well with not having her binky. I am pretty surprised by it actually. We still let her have it at night, but when I go to get her in the morning, she will just throw it in the crib and say "night night binky". Who knew it would be so easy? She really was so attached to it. I guess I underestimated her. Hopefully her move to a big girl bed will go just as well. I need ideas for how to decorate her new room. Anyone know any sites with ideas? I just can't seem to decide.

One of our neighbors has some ponies, and one just had a baby. We took Savannah to see it. Isn't it so cute? I can't believe how tiny it is. The picture quality isn't very good because I took it with my cell phone. I keep forgetting to take my camera around with me.

Baby Quack Quacks!

Meet our new Baby Ducks!

My husband is naughty and decided he just had to get baby ducks for Savannah! You never know what kind of critters he is going to show up with.

She LOVES them though! She has been so excited about it! As soon as she wakes up in the morning or from her nap, she just starts saying "baby quack quack, baby quack quack" It is pretty cute!

She chases them around and will bend over their box to chat away at them. When we have them in the garage, she will spend well over an hour going in and out to say hi to the ducks!
I'm not sure what we are going to do with them. There is a big pond behind our house with lots of ducks....maybe they will just go hang out there when they get big enough...lets hope so.
They don't have names yet...we are open to suggestions. If you live close by, you should bring your kids to see them. They are a big hit!

Toddler!

I officially have a toddler. I guess I have for a while now, but it is really sinking in. Savannah is in everything! Im already tired of the whole time-out thing and I only have one! She is getting a new molar AND her front tooth is coming back down. We are excited about it, but I think it may be what has been causing some grumpy-ness and some sleeping issues lately.
Also, She has never really cared for TV much and I never really have her watch it, but she has discovered an obsession with her "Pow mooby" (translation: cow movie). It is a movie Matt recorded on the DVR for her called "Barnyard-the original party animals". It's not really the kind of movie I pictured for her, but it has animals and she loves it! The other morning she woke up yelling from her crib "pow mooby, pow mooby". Im not sure how I feel about it. So far she only gets to watch short segments of it at a time.

Here she is watching it. She is in a complete trance which is so unlike her when it comes to the TV.

We have also decided to go ahead and take away the binky. She now only can have it when she is sleeping. So far it has been bearable, but we are only in day two. Hopefully I can stay patient enough for it. If anyone has advice on tricks, we would love to hear them. (On the advice, remember she is too young for the whole 'send the binky to the babies in heaven' thing and she doesn't even care when we cut them. She still sucks on it). Wish us luck!

Just thought I would add this picture. She loves to sit on the counter now when I am in the kitchen. She is trying to make a tower out of my spices.

Baby boy Kolste is doing well. He moves a ton, which I kind of like--except the jabs in the ribs. Hopefully he is pretty big because that would justify my belly being HUGE! This has been a great pregnancy though! I love it!

ps
As for "The Price is Right"....Im sorry if you missed it! I actually was only on once, and that is because I stepped out in the isle to give a lady a high-five. Matt is on a few times if you are watching for him. My brother Jake and his wife Krystal were shown a lot though! They made us sit on the inside, so they would get all the camera shots! Camera hogs! :)

Don't Forget!!!

I'm sure everyone is so excited about it, there is no way you have forgotten...but be sure to watch for us in the crowd on The Price is Right tomorrow. It is on CBS at 9 Utah time!!
