Tubes!

Max finally had tubes put in his ears! We had to get up bright and early to be there. He was pretty sleepy and I'm sure was wondering what was going on, but he looked awfully cute in his hospital gown!
Everything went well, and it was really quick. He was mad at the world when he was coming out of the anesthetics, but that eventually passed and he was happy as can be. Hopefully it will help him not be so sick all the time. I really think his infections were affecting his balance, because the day of the surgery, he started trying to walk a lot more often. He walks all over the place now!

Sneaking out of her room!

Bedtime for Savannah has been quite the ordeal lately. She used to be so easy to put to bed, but I'm afraid it has all changed. She wants us to stay and snuggle, she needs a drink, she's scared....you name it, she thinks of the excuse. Sometimes, hours after we have put her in bed, we head upstairs to go to bed ourselves, and find this:
Little stinker sneaks out and falls asleep at the top of the stairs!

Labor Day weekend!

We spent Labor Day weekend in Leamington. It's always fun to get together with all of the cousins and friends! This post is just a bunch of pictures of hanging out at Grandma and Papa's! The kids loved eating apples from the apple tree!

Papa, reading some bedtime stories.

Leamorado Days!

Of course every Labor Day, we have to go to Leamorado Days! It was a lot of fun this year!

The Trap shoot
Most of the boys didn't even come, because it was during the BYU game. Us girls did pretty well though. I kept hitting them over and over, and I couldn't believe it! Then everyone started commenting on how impressed they were, and I guess it went to my head because I didn't hit another one after that. So, even though I got off to a great start, Heidi ended up whopping me!

The Cowboy get-up

Jakers and Ruby

The Program

My cousins, David and Ryan performed some bluegrass music

Savannah was standing in her chair trying to mimic any moves that the dancers were doing. It was pretty cute!

The money dig

We got a whopping 42 cents from this game!

The races

We actually didn't get any pictures of the real race, so Savannah is re-enacting it for us.

The rodeo

One of these days, I will get Savannah to chase the money calf. Not this year though.

August

Back in August, I had my birthday. Birthday's aren't all that exciting anymore especially considering I always forget how old I am, but we did have a lot of fun celebrating it. Savannah decided we should go to the zoo for my birthday, so to the zoo we went. They had a new baby giraffe and elephant! I took more pictures, but if you have seen one set of zoo pictures, you have seen them all. We did have fun though!
That night we went up the canyon with a bunch of friends and had a BBQ and cake! Later that week, Matt started this little project:
He laid tile in our kitchen for my birthday. It was so nice! Thanks to my dad and brothers for their help! It was an awful lot of work!
Also in August: I got to tag-a-long with Matt for a work trip. We went to Washington DC. I got to visit a lot with some friends and my sister-in-law, while he worked. We also got to play a little. We went deep sea fishing, which was a first for me. I was worried about getting sick on the boat, so I took some Dramimine. I forgot it makes you drowsy, and found myself falling asleep even while standing on the boat. It still was fun and I caught the first fish of the day. The mate on the boat awarded me with a 5 dollar bill covered in fish guts!

We did catch some that were a little bigger than the first one, but no swordfish to hang on our wall. Bummer!
We also made a quick trip to see some of the sites. I wish we would have had more time here. I love DC!

Just Pictures

There is no real rhyme or reason to this post. Just a bunch of pictures and a few things we have done. These maybe would have been in order if I had been keeping up.

A few weeks ago we went to Maple Mountain High's homecoming game. It is the new high school's first year, and we thought we would go show some support....that and my husband is obsessed with any kind of football game.
My boys, watching the game.

Just a random picture of Savannah. Isn't she cute?

Max had his first haircut, and he was not a big fan. He doesn't have much hair anyway, but he was getting a few crazy long ones that needed to go.

Isn't he cute?

Just out for a ride. Savannah is still obsessed with horses and loves any chance she can get to ride.

I learned this summer that I did not inherit my father's green thumb. Good thing we have nice neighbors and a brother that will share their yummy tomatoes with us.

Savannah is taking a dance class which is pretty darn cute. She has some pretty sweet dance moves that she is usually very willing to show off.

Max seems to think he grew up in Oak City and has started kissing with his cousins!

Like I said, Savannah loves anything about horses. Her and her dad are reading "Horses for Dummies"....one of her favorites.

We are sad to see the warm weather go. We loved being able to set up pools in the yard and play with all of the neighbor kids.
I just like this picture.
