Goodbye Dyna-wave!!

We finally gave in and got rid of the fire hazard! The Dyna-wave has been good to us. We have used it since we got married. Left-overs have been enjoyed and bottles have been warmed. Before that, it was used at Matt's apartment where many frozen burritos were completley fried! In its prime, it was the Kolste Family Microwave in Montana. Since then, though the dial stopped working. The microwave just goes and goes until you stop it yourself -hence the fried burritos. It has since digressed to where even turning the dial yourself wont stop it....You have to open the door! We have actually been using it for almost a year that way. If the door gets shut, the dyna-wave will go and go. We just couldn't part with it especially with the way it matches our other appliances now. The house we are renting has sweet brown appliances and the dyna-wave completes the look...open door and all.
Anyway...we have finally decided that having a microwave with the door always open it kind of a fire hazard. Anything bumps it shut, and who knows how long it will go.
We will miss you Dyna-wave!!!

We searched and searched Walmart, but alas, there were no brown microwaves to be found. We are kind of sad to have a white microwave, but the luxuries of the "add 30 sec" and "popcorn" buttons make up for it!!

My new hat!!

Matt bought her this cowboy hat and she loves it! She will never keep a hat on her head, so I was so surprised to see her wearing it. Even when she did take it off, she carried it around for a while.

Piggy-Tails!!!

She is so Cute!!! We sure like having her around!

Happy Valley!!

We took a drive up to squaw peak last week. It was beautiful!

The camera didn't catch it very well, but the leaves were so pretty. We loved the view of the valley. We really do like being here in happy valley, which is good since it looks like we will be here for a little while.

See...Look how happy we are!!

The kids all had a good time playing!

It is good to be back around mountains!

Big Surprise...she is eating rocks!

This is how she always throws. Just lifts it up high and drops it. She has a pretty good arm!

Jordanelle

I am trying to catch up a little bit...Last weekend, on the 7th, Matt's work had a party at Jordanelle for managers and families. We had a good time. Savannah seems happy enough in all of these pictures, but she was actually pretty grumpy the whole time. I feel bad because I think she is having a hard time with our crazy schedule lately. Hopefully after this week, things will calm down a little for her.
Anyway...Matt was nice and took her for a little drive for a nap, so I could get a chance to ride the waverunners. We stayed the night at a lodge in Park City then had the big "End of the Year" party that night. It was a pretty fun trip.

playing in the water!!

I seem to be getting a collection of pictures of Savannah eating rocks. She is always stuffing them in her mouth. Luckily we are yet to find them in her diaper, so she must not be swallowing them.

Playing in the water with cousins!! Savannah was more interested in grabbing her cousins head!! Her and Conner are always picking on each other.

Playing on the beach. It wasn't a very good beach for playing, but she loved the rocks!!

Just exploring!!

While Matt was cleaning out the new trailer, Savannah was having a good time just being outside. She discovered all sorts of new things!!

Savannah discovered the hose and was pretty excited about the whole thing!!

So Gross!!! At first I tried to stop her, but by then she had already been covered in mud, soaking wet, and even tried to eat a few bugs....what is splashing in nasty water going to hurt???

Our new addition!!

Isn't she a beauty?!!! Now all we need are some horses!!!

We're still here

I haven't been doing a whole lot with the blog lately. I apologize to anyone that frequently checks it because I hate checking everyones blogs and finding nothing new. Maybe I shouldn't flatter myself by thinking that anyone frequently checks this blog though.
We have been so busy!!! We have not been in one place for more than a few days at a time. This morning we got up bright and early for our first day back in our old ward. We were walking out the door and noticed none of the neighbors had left yet. (My confession...this was odd because they always beat us to church) Anyway...turns out the time changed to 1:00 and we are now dressed and waiting....so here is our update:
I flew home last week and stayed with my sister-in-law because I didn't want to stay in our empty house alone. (I'm kind of a sissy but her hubby was gone too and we are both chicken, so it worked out well) Matt came in a few days later and we spent time in my home town visiting old friends etc. Finally we headed back to Orem to get settled a little. Matt's big work party for the end of the summer was this weekend, so we headed to Park City and spent Friday-Saturday there. We just returned late last night. After church today, we are going to head south to Lake Powell for a few days. My cousin is visiting from Georgia and wants to do some fun Utah stuff, so even though we are exhausted from traveling and our house is a disaster, we are headed off again. We are excited though.
I have lots of pictures I will post soon!!!!

Home again home again jiggity-jig

We are loving being back home. We really enjoyed St. Louis, but by the end of a summer, it is always nice to get back. We spent the weekend with my parents. They have Leamorado Days every Labor day. It is just a little small town rodeo with a program and a dinner. It was fun to see some friends. We dressed all the girl cousins up in cowgirl outfits (I will post those pics later). We are getting settled now and loving the lack of humidity!!!

I love how she will just sit down like this. She will be busy exploring things and just take a seat with her legs sprawled out. She just sits there, taking a little break, for quite a while.

We went to a wedding reception and just walked around Gardner's Village for a while. She thinks she is so independent now, so I just let her walk around and followed her. She loved it!!

Savannah had a good time playing in the boxes while we were packing up!! I was nervous to fly with her, but she ended up doing really well!
