Cathedral Basilica

The same day we went to the arch, we also visited a few Cathedrals. This one is a well known one that was pretty amazing. It was dark inside and hard to get good pictures, but here are a few....

St. Louis himself!!


All of the walls and ceilings are covered with these amazing mosaics. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but the little tiles are tiny. The gold ones are real gold and they are everywhere. It was pretty incredible. The building structure only took 4 years to build, but the mosaics took 70ish years to finish.


Savannah could work on her reverence...she had a good time running around!!! I love her face in this picture!
