Congrats Jamie!!
Just a little shout out to one of my best friends, Jamie. She graduated from BYU this last weekend. We grew up together and were roomates at school for a while. She is pretty darn amazing! Maybe you saw her on the news. KSL aired a clip on her and her current roomate, Jill the week of graduation! It was about them accomplishing their goals despite their disabilities. They are so inspiring! Congrats Jamie and Jill!

California!!
I haven't posted forever! Get ready for a big, long, boring post filled with lots of pictures!
On the way, we stopped in St. George to let the kids play. Guess who's kid is the naughty one that won't turn around for the picture?
We also made a stop in Las Vegas for Krystal to run a marathon because she is the bomb! She did awesome, and I cryed a little when she crossed the finish line!
My nephew planned out a "day-care" to give the parents a break. He had a specific schedule with story time, nap time, snack time, P.E., etc. It was pretty cute! We had a lot of fun being able to visit with family!
In early March we took a trip to San Diego to visit my sister. We had a lot of fun, and packed as much as we could in the week we were there.

It was a really fun place! Savannah's favorite part was seeing Dori in a tiny little fish tank where we ate lunch. Too bad we didn't know that before. A trip to the pet store would have been a lot cheaper!

Savannah spent a lot of time playing with Papa in the waves.
Matt and the nephews were the only ones crazy enough to play in the freezing water! That was until one of the boys got stung by a stingray. Ouch!

Max was so good. He spent a lot of time in his stroller. He loves being out and about though.
The next morning, we headed down to Disneyland!
The whole crew minus my sister who was taking the picture.
This picture is as we were leaving the park. Savannah wanted to go in the castle, but it was closed. Matt told her Aurora was asleep and her daddy wouldn't let us in. This is what Savannah talks about when she recaps her trip to Disneyland. How Aurora was asleep in the castle.
Of course we did get to see a lot of princesses! We waited in line Forever, but we knew Savannah would go nuts when she saw them. She was pretty shy at first, but was so excited! I loved this picture, because she was sneaking up to touch Cinderella's dress while she was talking to the other girls.
We also got to check out the San Diego Zoo! It is huge!

Exciting stuff at our house!
Actually, both kids have been sick lately, so I wouldn't really describe life at our house as exciting, but we have had some new accomplishments:
Max has his first tooth! It is kind of tricky getting a picture of it though.

Attempt one
Attempt two. I will spare you attempt 3, 4, 5, and 6.
And, finally. There it is! You probably have to enlarge the picture if you really care enough to see it, but trust me, it's there!
A potty-chart full of stickers! She actually would have had it full a long time ago, but we didn't put a sticker on every time. We are off to let her pick out a new toy at the store. I am planning to do my best to discourage anything princess, but fat chance on that one! I should just make her "new toy" be some new panties to replace all of the ones that ended up in the trash while we worked on filling the chart. Some things just aren't worth washing.

Movie review
Matt and I got to go on a date last night. We hadn't been to a movie theater together for a very long time. We decided to see "He's just not that into you" I had thought I heard it might be a cute show. WRONG!!! Seriously, I feel like it is my duty now to let everyone know it was the WORST MOVIE EVER! We ended up walking out, because it was horrible! I was so disappointed to have wasted our time and money! Even before it became completely inappropriate, it was so boring with no plot! We weren't the only ones that walked out. I bet at least 30 people left. So, there you have it, my official review of this movie. You have been warned!

observations of a 2-year-old
The other day, as I got Max out of the bath and was changing him, Savannah says "Mom, I don't have a bum".
"What do you mean you don't have a bum?"
She lifts her dress and says "I don't have a tail"
"Nope, I guess you don't"
And that was that.

Princess Trivia
Sorry this isn't the best quality video, but it is still pretty funny. I love when she sings Snow White. She doesn't really know anything about Snow White, except she has a book with a picture of her cleaning with the animals. I guess that is where she got the words to her made-up song about her.

Just stuff...
Since I have been so bad at blogging lately, here are a few more things that happened in December:
One day, when it was snowing pretty hard, I had a knock on the door. It was the neighbor kids asking if Matt could come play. I didn't even know Matt was home from work yet. He was standing by the truck, waiting to see if it was okay. It was pretty funny. They went to build a snowman!

It was a little crazy with 13 kids and the oldest being 4. It was a lot of fun though. We had a white elephant exchange with the kids and the adults. The kids loved exchanging old toys!
