Princess Trivia

Sorry this isn't the best quality video, but it is still pretty funny. I love when she sings Snow White. She doesn't really know anything about Snow White, except she has a book with a picture of her cleaning with the animals. I guess that is where she got the words to her made-up song about her.

Just stuff...

Since I have been so bad at blogging lately, here are a few more things that happened in December: One day, when it was snowing pretty hard, I had a knock on the door. It was the neighbor kids asking if Matt could come play. I didn't even know Matt was home from work yet. He was standing by the truck, waiting to see if it was okay. It was pretty funny. They went to build a snowman!

Savannah had some new snow clothes, so she came to try them out.

We also had a little Christmas party with friends from Matt's work. It was a little crazy with 13 kids and the oldest being 4. It was a lot of fun though. We had a white elephant exchange with the kids and the adults. The kids loved exchanging old toys!

The adult white elephant exchange made for some good laughs. Matt picked out some pretty sweet gifts for us to give away.

In exchange, we recieved some fake tatoos and a t-shirt that says "Do 50 year-olds wear boxers or briefs?...Depends" Thanks guys!

Better late than never!

I know you all are just on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out about our Christmas, so here it is...
We went to my parents house and had a great time playing in the snow! Savannah got to ride on a tube being pulled by the go-cart. She seemed to enjoy it, but the highlight of the snow for her was pretending like I was a puppy and she was feeding me snow.

Max didn't get to play in the snow with us.

My parent live in such a small town, Santa comes to visit every house on Christmas eve. As soon as we opened the door for him, Savannah yelled "I want a treat", and that was the extent of her talking to Santa. Max was a huge fan of his bells though.

After Christmas morning, it was all Princess, all the time! This dress was actually a gift for her cousin, Ruby, but she was nice enough to share. Savannah only took it off to sleep.

More princess stuff. If you look close, you can see that the feet of her new pajamas are cut off. She decided she hated the feet, so her dad pulled out the pocket knife and took care of the problem.

Every winter, we have to go play on the ice. Grandma and Papa were nice enough to keep the kids!

The boys had to try to impress us all by crossing over the icy water! Check out those huge muscles!

Well, that was our Christmas in a nutshell. And only a month late!

Conversations with my hubby

Matt, after returning from some last minute Christmas shopping, says: "The mall was crazy today! You wouldn't believe how many people were there. Luckily, no one seemed to want to shop in the store I was shopping for you in."

hmmm....can't wait to see what it is!

Then our conversation continued...
Matt: "I saw the funniest thing I almost got you. It was one of those--I don't know what you call it--it's kind of like a shirt, but it's really long and it's pajamas."
Me: "A nightgown?"
Matt: "Ya, a nightgown. And it had a big teddy-bear on it, and it said 'Cute and Cuddly' across the bottom."

Well, if that little treasure was passed up, I really can't wait to see what it is!

Happy Late Thanksgiving!

Sorry...just haven't been in the blogging mood lately.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! Since everyone at Platinum went on the company cruise, Matt had extra time off, so we headed to Montana. Savannah was spoiled with lots of books to read and Max was spoiled with someone to hold him at all times! It was nice to just have time to relax and hang out with family. Matt is from the cutest little town. I keep wanting to take lots of pictures there, but when I pulled out my camera, the battery was dead...so no pictures of the whole trip!

The kids did okay in the car. We split up the drive into 2 days which helped. On the way there, we stayed in a classy little place called "The Sundowner Inn" in Dillon. Was it nice? Well that all depends on if you are picky about having clean sheets and towels. On the way home, we drove through a snow storm. The drive to Idaho Falls should have taken us about 5 hours and it took about 9. Add to that a crying baby, and a toddler that drops everything over and over just so you can keep reaching back to pick it up...and you have one fun filled drive! Despite the stress of traveling with kids, it is always worth it, and we had a great time! Highlights of the drive included a little MC Hammer, Billy Rae's 'Achy-Breaky Heart', and some Johnny Cash. Who can complain when you have classic music like that to listen to? I make fun of Matt because he could listen to "A boy named Sue" over and over. He makes fun of me for busting out my Hammer time moves. He is just jealous that he never owned a pair of Hammer pants growing up. Mine were pretty sweet!

Just an update on our 4 month-er!
Sweetest baby ever! Starting to grab toys and hair, loves to chew on blankets and his fingers, hates the car and being left alone in a room, loves his sister (surprisingly considering how rough she is on him), giggles loudly when tickled, could clear a room with his smelly toots, drinks milk like a champ, wakes up early and decides he is ready to talk and talk and talk, must be held turning outward, loves his swing, likes to try to hide milk in his neck (gross!), gathers an impressive amount of lint in his fingers every day, snores, has a sweet bald spot on the back of his head, smells sooo good, answers to Max, Maxwell, Maxi-pad, Maximus, Max-a-million, Punkin, Mister, Buddy, Stinker, Brother, Sweet boy, and Turkey.....We sure love you Max!
